Francisco Mata Rosas
Francisco Mata Rosas, was born in the city of Mexico in 1958. With degree in
Sciences of the Communication his photographic job start in 1986.
Its photographic work has been published in the newspapers The New York
Times, L.A.. Times, of the United States; The Press in Canada, between
many others in the magazines: The Independent Magazine and Photography
of London England; The Paseante of Spain; his photographies has been
exposed lately in: Mexico Stad, Koninklijk Instituut Voor de Tropen de
Amsterdam, Holland 1992; Mexican photographers, Fair of Book from
Frankfurt, Cultural Germany 1992; Mexican cultural center in Paris and the
FNAC
of the same city in 1993; Light Factory in Louisiana, the United States
1993; Center of the Image and Subway of the City of Mexico in 1994,1995
and 1996 " Black Butterfly: Images of Death from Mexico " in Aberdeen
Art Gallery, Scotland, October and November of 1995, Kobe Aid Fund,
world photo art exhibition & auction, in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan
January-March of 1996, Month of the photography in Paris France 1996,
to mention only some places.Was invited in world-wide project " 24 hours
in Cyberspace ", February of 1996, as one of the 150 photojournalists
selected in the mundo.Mata Rosas has obtained the following recognitions:
Prize of acquisition in the Biennial of Mexican Photography, 1988. Prize
of Honor in the Aid of the Bicentennial of the French Revolution, 1989.
Scholarship of Creative Young people of FONCA, 1989 (Mexico). Annual Third
Mother
Jones, 1993.Premio of coinvestment of FONCA, 1994. Fuji prize in 1996
and Great Prize in 1997 of the aid of the Internet Magazine in Japan. In
the publishing land are images hers in more than a twenty of books. On
the other hand it has been participating as speaker in most of the
encounter of photography in Mexico, has been sworn of different national
aids, has distributed talks and courses for ten. At the moment two books
with its work
(Subway of the City of Mexico and Holly festivites of the D.F.) they are
in editing. His work is printing in around five homepages in internet.
