Carl Volk was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1953, majored in Photography at the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, and did graduate work in Photography and Art History at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.
He has been doing Fine Art and commercial Photography for over twenty years and has managed the scanning department of a color separation house for over ten years. He began using Adobe Photoshop when it was in its beta stages and has used Photoshop to finish out all the photographs seen here.
